Registration Information

Registration fees:

Residential

Residential Standard: £850 + VAT @ 17.5% = £998.75
Residential Author: £800 + VAT @ 17.5% = £940.00
Residential Student*: £475 + VAT @17.5% = £558.13
Dinner, bed and breakfast: £63.50 + VAT = £74.61 per person sharing in a twin room

Unfortunately the College do not have any family rooms.  The College's policy is not to allow any children under the age of 16 to stay in residence.

Non-residential

Non-residential Standard: £525 + VAT @ 17.5% = £616.88
Non-residential Author: £475 + VAT @ 17.5% = £558.13
Non-residential Student*: £150 + VAT @17.5% = £176.25
(*Student rate applies for registered undergraduate students and those studying full time towards a post-graduate degree. This rate is not applicable to post doctoral students or employed researchers. Student registrations must be accompanied by a signed letter from your head of department attesting to student status)

The registration fee includes:

  • Access to conference sessions and poster area
  • Abstract book available at the conference and conference documentation
  • A copy of the conference special issue of Wear and Journal of Materials Processing Technology
  • Lunch and mid-session refreshments as scheduled in the conference programme
  • Conference Dinner on Wednesday evening

Residential registrations also include:

  • Four-nights residential accommodation at Churchill College, including
    breakfast and evening meals

Author Registration Deadline

Accepted oral and poster presenters should register no later than 2 May 2008 to ensure that their material is included in the final program and the book of abstracts. Non-registered presentations will be withdrawn from the conference after this date. Please include your abstract reference number when completing your registration form.

Payment

Registration fees are payable in advance of the Conference. In order to expedite the registration process, please complete the registration form with your credit card details. Confirmation of your credit card payment along with registration confirmation documents will be sent to you by mail. If you do not receive confirmation of your registration 7 days prior to the event, please contact the Conference Secretariat.

Alternative payment methods

Checks should be made payable to Elsevier Ltd. and should be sent with your completed registration form. In order to pay by bank transfer, you will first require an invoice. An invoice will be sent to you by airmail upon receipt of a signed registration form completed with your contact details and registration details. The reverse side of the invoice provides Elsevier bank account details for transfer purposes. Please do not transfer fees until you have received your invoice. It is essential that you include your invoice number when instructing your bank. Please forward a copy of the bank transfer documentation to the Conference Secretariat.

Cancellations

Substitutions may be made at any time but please advise the Conference Secretariat of a change of name. If you find it necessary to cancel the registration completely, please notify the Conference Secretariat immediately in writing. Provided written notice is received by August 7, 2008, a full refund will be given less a 10% administration charge. Provided written notice is received by August 21, 2008 a 50% refund will be given. It is regretted for registrations cancelled after August 21, 2008, or for no-shows at the Conference, the full fee (100% cancellation charge) will be payable.

In the unlikely event that Elsevier shall deem it necessary to cancel the Conference, all pre-paid registration fees will be reimbursed. Elsevier shall not be liable for reimbursing the cost of travel or accommodation arrangements made by individual delegates.

Changes

Details are correct at the time of going to print. Elsevier reserves the right to change any session in the final program.
